WHO ARE WE?
In 1998 I trained at Caythorpe on the Dog Training Instructors Course and taught in the Hertford and District Dog Training Society from the beginners level to advanced. At the time I had a rescue German Shepherd. The methods I use are positive reinforcement. In 2002 I moved to Spain with my Golden Retriever Charley (Girl) where I ran a small club and visited customers and their dogs on a one to one basis, helping people with Yorkshire Terriers to Great Danes!
In 2006 I returned to the UK with an addition to the family, Nico and have continued to help people on a one to one basis.
Dogs are a massive part of my life and I cannot imagine a life without them! I can but it would be a very VERY DULL life!!
My current housemates are Charley and Nico.
Charley is now 8 and before we went to Spain she was a boat dog on a narrow boat, not a life she took to particularly as she wasn't too fond of water!! Charley was a PAT Dog visiting the local hospital to cheer up the residents.
She has a wonderful biddable nature, always eager to please and can also be a bit cheeky!
Nico is dog number 2! Half Irish and half Dutch he was born in Spain, He has always had a really naughty streak, eating the breeders mobile phone cable and hiding the flea spray after a particularly traumatic spraying session!! Since then he has always kept us on our toes but has an incredible loving nature and is always there for cuddles as and when required!!
As well as the dogs I used to have a tabby cat called TWIT. An affection boy but really lazy! You had to place him next to mice if you wanted them caught and even then it all seemed like too much effort!
It is so important for people to teach their dogs at least the very basics of obedience and I love helping teach people to train their dogs and see results. It makes it all worthwhile! If you would like to discuss how I can help you please do feel free to contact me.
